The SUN scale was consisted of 20 items, and tested by 96 recreational divers together with Sense of Direction Questionnaire-Short version (SDQ-S) which has been widely employed to measure general sense of direction by many researches. Coefficient of reliability of the SUN scale was quite high and the scores of the SUN scale and SDQ-S were highly correlated with each other. This result indicated that the SUN scale developed in this study exhibited a certain range of reliability and validity. Diver's skills of under-water navigation indicated by the score of the SUN scale increased as a function of the participant's experiences of diving. These attempts provide basis for analyzing adaptation process toward novel environment and developing a new efficient educational method for under-water navigation.\n　水中におけるナビゲーション感覚を計測可能な心理尺度の開発を試みた. 20 項目からなる水中ナビゲーション感覚尺度(Sense of Under-water Navigation; SUN 尺度) を策定し, 一般的な方向感覚を尋ねる心理尺度である方向感覚質問紙簡易版(SDQ-S) とともに, 96 名のレクリエーショナルダイバーに対し質問紙調査を実施した. 調査の結果, SUN 尺度の信頼性係数は非常に高く, また, SDQ-S とも高い相関を示すことから, 今回開発を試みたSUN 尺度は一定の信頼性と妥当性を有していることが示された.
